Andy Norfolk is on a bit of a roll right now. Little Duffy, the business he founded with his father, Tim, is growing rapidly, year on year. Members of the industry say they have been overwhelmed at the level of commitment and attention to detail Andy and his team provide to their customer base.
He has been instrumental in establishing the Hampshire-based company amongst the very best distributors within the region for project planning and service, as well as both light and heavy equipment supply with both local and national accounts being handled.
In his 7 years as director of the firm, he has run and developed all aspects of the company. This comprises working within the hospitality and retail markets designing, consulting and supplying light, medium, and heavy equipment, service solutions, and complete turnkey builds.
Andy started his career early, attending the Licensed Victuallers School in Ascot. Years later he found himself returning to his old stomping ground to carry out a project there for Little Duffy. He took up the challenge of creating more storage in the compact space available for the schools catering department. With a well thought out re-work of the existing space, and some cleverly designed cold rooms, the schools problems were solved. The dealer installed flush fitting doors to the cold rooms, a new office, and gained space for the dry stores.
In his formative years he also became a chef, eventually running his own establishment. For the past decade, Andy has been working with major manufacturers and operators, designing kitchens and restaurants. He is definitely passionate about design and looks for the next big challenge every day.
