Chris Keith started Sigma Catering Equipment in 2000 and has ensured that the company quickly grew from strength to strength, by offering expert personal service to a wide range of commercial and institutional customers. As business increased, Chris recruited additional sales and project staff who added further experience and capacity to the firms operation.
The business continues to grow and has just taken on an apprentice CAD design technician due to this continued workload and the restructuring of roles within the business. Chris has been keen to bring young blood into the business, as he believes the industry has identified that this is a necessary step.
Chris likes to play an active part within the industry, and has recently taken on the role of regional chairman for the Northern Region of CEDA. He appreciates the benefits and structure a trade association like CEDA brings to the industry, and constantly strives to maintain and improve the standards and professionalism, both of his own company, and of the sector.
In recent years Chris has secured membership of CHAS and Constructionline to demonstrate his companys commitment to health and safety, and he has gained the Site Managers Safety Certificate.
He is also a supporter of the CFSP scheme and he is committed to all staff gaining accreditation in the future.
As part of the companys ongoing development, Chris has also started up a GasSafe accredited service and installation business, to support the companys further growth in the future.
