As the Airedale Group’s youngest account manager, Chris Spiers is a stellar example for any young person wishing to progress within the industry. He is described as having a ‘can-do attitude’, with a highly adaptable and versatile skillset.

He also ensures he pays significant attention to consistently delivering exceptional customer services. His efforts were recognised by the Airedale Group, which provided him with the training over a 6 month transition period from his initial role in the design office.

Within his first 6 months as account manager, Chris progressed from carrying out surveys into a full account management role and he secured in excess of £120,000 for some of the most prestigious and demanding clients in the casual dining sector, taking sole responsibility as brand manager for one the UK’s fastest-growing chains.

Furthermore, Chris has taken on and developed his own client from scratch for one of the leading leisure companies in the UK, as well as ably assisting with the Airedale Group’s brewery division. He is comfortable in front of any customer and handles often complex briefings, project delivery and handovers with aplomb.

Chris also plays an active role within the CEDA Academy. The association’s youth networking group has helped him to share ideas, thoughts and ambitions with people in similar situations to him, all looking to further their careers. He is also looking forward to expanding his knowledge within the catering industry, having greater product knowledge as well as gaining a better understanding of the legislations to comply with.

He has already proven to be an invaluable member of the Airedale Group, helping nurture himself and other talented young people employed by the company.

All this means that Chris is richly deserving of his position in this year’s Power List as a Young Trailblazer; with the right attitude and support, anyone can progress within this industry.
