Phil Dixon’s departure from Leeds-based CS Catering Equipment back to his old stomping ground at Brakes Catering Equipment brought a new opportunity the way of Hayley Dean.

Now she is the longest serving member of staff at the Leeds-based distributor, with 8 years of employment under her belt, despite still being at a relatively tender age.

Her hard work and dedication throughout her time at CS meant that she was rewarded with promotion to general manager at the beginning of this year, taking over many of the duties Phil used to manage, while other sales staff stepped up to cover the rest of his former role.

She was originally employed by Caffe Society in February 2008 to work as part of its ingredients sales team, taking both phone and website orders, and built relationships with customers, both new and existing. From here she moved onto being responsible for the sale of domestic coffee machines, whilst being trained in website maintenance and development.

As Caffe Society looked to branch out into the catering equipment market, Hayley switched into a sales and customer service role working within CS Catering Equipment, where she developed extensive product knowledge. She eventually also took over the day-to-day up-keep of the website and was responsible for website content.

Hayley worked her way up to heading the marketing department and stock management, a varied and demanding position, prior to her recent promotion. She capably monitored and controlled all web pricing, product listings and promotions, as well as purchasing stock and managing warehouse stock levels. Furthermore, she helped to design and maintain CS’s on-site showroom.
