Jack Sharkey is an experienced member of the industry and his reputation, based on his knowledge and expertise of catering operations across all sectors, precedes him. As managing director of Vision Commercial Kitchens, Jack predominantly looks after sales within the business and along with Vision’s other directors, has taken the organisation from its start in 2002 to a company with a current turnover in excess of £7m. He directs his sales force of five and is consistently focused on exceeding customer expectations.
Jack is well known within the industry for taking on large and prestigious projects, especially within the hotel and restaurant sectors. Most recently, he has successfully managed a challenging project for the iconic company Fortnum & Mason by providing the catering facilities for its first airport bar at Heathrow Terminal 5. This project and his involvement within it went on to be the runner-up of the Large Projects category at the CEDA Grand Prix Awards. Vision also received the FCSI award for Outstanding Project Management for Mondrian London at Sea Containers House — another large and prestigious project which Jack was involved in last year, which was the most valuable project that the distributor has completed so far.
If managing demanding projects wasn’t enough, Jack also completed a Masters in international hospitality design and management consultancy.
However, he is not just well known for Vision but has also taken his skills and expertise out into the industry, most notably the trade association CEDA where he currently holds the prestigious role of Chair. Jack is well respected within the industry, which is evident from not only the strong links he holds with the leading manufacturers but also the excellent relationships he has with his customers, which have resulted in multiple projects being carried out with the same clients.
