Jon Wall may be a newcomer to the catering equipment industry, but he is no stranger to project management. In April, he joined GastroNorth as project manager to add further support and expertise to the firms installation teams, and he is now responsible for projects across the UK.
He has a wealth of experience in project management, managing people and delivering high levels of customer service. This includes as contracts manager in the projects division of property management company, Wilkinson Maintenance, a site manager for Whitley-Bay based Quay Shopfitters, and an 11-year stint as contracts manager at former Newcastle-headquartered construction company, WM Contracts.
His 20-plus-year career will be essential to dealing with current and future customer demand at GastroNorth, as over the past 12 months it has rapidly increased the number of projects it is undertaking.
Jon is familiar with GastroNorth from his former roles, however, and was delighted to be a key part of such an evolving and exciting team. Project management is a fundamental part of the business and the dealer wanted to ensure that correct people were in place to maintain its customer service levels.
His colleagues feel its of paramount importance that the team grows at the same rate as the distributors business, and so were very pleased to welcome such an experienced member of staff onboard. They reported that even in the first few weeks of his role, he was on-site in project venues making clients happy.
