So often internal staff do not have the opportunity to be recognised for their invaluable contribution to the success of the company. Therefore Court Catering Equipment’s Julie Quilter really does deserve to be honoured as an unsung hero. She joined the dealer 13 years ago as an administrator and PA to MD Nick Howe. But she is now an expert and jack of all trades and is really the operations manager.

Her background in customer service has been crucial in how she has developed the department she runs. Along the way she has become an expert in catering equipment advice for clients, very knowledgeable in design issues and extremely skilled in managing project issues that arise.

She regularly puts in endless hours to help the project team achieve level of service Court is renowned for: ensuring drivers, deliveries, equipment and engineers are in the right place at the right time. Furthermore, she has taken and passed the CFSP accreditation.

Julie has a calm, patient manner and her remarkable problem-solving abilities are rare indeed. Her involvement in so many aspects of the business is such a great help when team members are getting frustrated. This quality in an employee is an indication of the distributor’s success, both now and in the future. As Court Catering Equipment celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, Julie has been vital in ensuring this achievement.

Her positive attitude and her ability to motivate people for work is recognised both internally and by the company’s sub-contractors and clients alike, with whom she has developed excellent relationships and is the first to suggest there may be a opportunity to be pursued.
