Lee Swiffen’s colleagues say that over the years he has demonstrated a high quality of work and knowledge when it comes to designing catering areas. Catering Insight was told: “He has an unparalleled ability to understand and deliver projects, always maintaining a standard that means customers come back time and time again. Lee sets the benchmark in quality design and project management.”
Lee’s day to day role at Modo is managing the design and project side of the business. He deals with all of the company’s suppliers and manages their orders for each project, ensuring everything is where it needs to be when it is needed — which is no small task. Aside from the large amount of administration work, Lee completes nearly all of the firm’s client drawings. He has an amazing ability to interpret a client brief and bring their ideas to life. Modo works with some inspiring interior designers and architects, which challenge the distributor to come up with new and innovative designs to keep up with all the current trends.
Recently Lee has completed a project with Modo for Fu Manchu in Clapham, which is a dim sum restaurant and night club. He was responsible for designing the bars, bar counter, kitchens, ventilation systems and cold stores in what was a very tricky archway site. Although the main contractor overran, Modo delivered the project on time with minimal snagging, which goes to show Lee’s credentials when it comes to project planning.
