This year is celebration time for Nick Howe and the Court Catering Equipment team. 2016 marks the London-based distributor’s 40th anniversary, and furthermore the business is on track to have its best year ever, enjoying a 21% growth from 2015. The previous year in itself was a bumper year, with a 25% turnover increase from 2014 thanks to a huge spike in school kitchen outfits prompted by the UIFSM government scheme.
Nick has steered the firm to this success over the past two decades, along with his management team, to create a company at the leading edge of the UK’s catering equipment industry.
Success has come from the team assembled by them, from the company’s innovative design department through to the quality of the finished scheme, including a focus on strong project management with attention to detail in delivering schemes that its clients are proud of. Success vindicated by much repeated business gained.
With the current increase in clients and business activity, this year the distributor even had to expand its project management department with the addition of two more staff in this division.
Recently the firm also completed its largest single contract, in Paris, which goes to show how Nick has ensured that Court’s ties reach internationally. This comprised a massive delivery of 12 kitchens for cooking school, Le Cordon Bleu.
Nick ensures that the vast majority of its business is undertaken in-house, so that the distributor can safeguard the quality of complete turnkey projects.
