Sally Wright worked in the design and estimating department of Welequip Catering Equipment when it entered into administration in 2009, and she subsequently joined ScoMac after it acquired Welequip from the administrator.
She has over 20 years of experience in design and estimating and over this period has fitted work around having her own family. Along with her colleague, Ellie Power, she continues to support the Cambridge premises of ScoMac, working around school hours and holidays. Co-workers believe she deserves recognition for providing great support to the sales team in what is a very busy, successful and growing branch.
Being remote from the Livingston main head office of ScoMac brings challenges, as with any remote operation of any business. Sally, alongside Ellie, has to overcome these challenges not just by providing the design and estimating support to the branch sales team, but also by collating all the supporting documentation for Livingston to process project orders when a contract is won.
Sally is very passionate about making sure that the drawing or estimate she produces is as detailed as possible and meets the client’s expectations. According to her colleagues she demonstrates care in what she does and is concerned that every opportunity is pursued to the best of the Cambridge team’s ability to ensure the branch meets the required budgets.
