Wendy deserves the title of project pioneer as she has the desire to develop, prove and showcase all that can be achieved in a frenetic and exciting industry.
According to Wendy’s colleagues, she is a truly professional project manager, dedicated to providing her clients with total satisfaction, down to every fine detail on each and every job. “Nothing is missed or goes without her completion attention. Her clients are always fully confident that no matter the project or the task, with Wendy working for them it will be completed to perfection,” Catering Insight was told.
Over a 15-year career with KCCJ, Wendy has worked in multiple foodservice sectors including hotels, schools, hospitals, large stadiums and most recently an extended upgrade rollout scheme for Welcome Break Group, working across multiple sites across the UK motorway network, putting in new Harry Ramsden’s, Dunkin Donuts and Tossed outlets.
Wendy’s project management role sees her meeting with clients of KCCJ and helping them to bring their ambitions to realisation: from taking project objectives and then liaising with the KCCJ CAD team to produce innovative designs and schemes to present. This then allows for the preparation of estimates and budgets. On award of contract, she will appoint sub-contractors and produce a programme of works.
Through comprehensive training provided by KCCJ, Wendy is able to entirely manage all health and safety aspects of the scheme, from document management to the safety and daily undertakings of the site operatives. She leads each project throughout and remains in constant communication with the client, updating them daily on progress, as well as organising everything from equipment delivery to co-ordination of site trades, ensuring a smooth delivery and handover, always on time and in budget.
